Lady in black whisks through the night. Into the alley and then out of sight. An old tom cat squalls in the dark. Hearing the sound a dog starts to bark. The door creaks eerie as she enters the room. To a smoke filled chamber as cold as a tomb. Her skin is pale as a corpse in a grave. A man sitting there with some money she gave. Half a cigar hangs from his lips. He hands her a box that tightly she grips. With his boney old finger he points to the door. And mumbles some words she tries to ignore. In the back through the door apprehensively walking. Hearing some voices but lowly their talking. At a table two men are sipping cheap beer. One points to the stairway his whispers unclear. The stairway is dark as she climbs to the top. Just enough light, at a door she must stop. She turns the door knob and opens to find. A man sitting there that looks like hes blind. "Open the box" with a gruff voice he speaks. The smell of whisky the room there it reeks. As she opens the box and pulls out a gun. And shoots the man dead, now on the run. The police make a search but never could find. The one that murdered the man that was blind. On a cemetery plot just four blocks away. The gun she had they found it today. No trace of the woman but there they found. By the head stone was a black scarf on the ground. They noticed the grave looked recently dug And left the scene with just a shrug. On the stone there engraved was a ladies name. Could this be the lady one in the same? There on the stone was the date I say. One year ago she died to this day.

A very bewitching and spooky tale. A well written piece of work, which captures the imagination very well. Stunning. I enjoyed it very much. Sue x |
