When the tears come
Happiness answers with a warm promise of things to come
When the tears fall
Sadness achieves the release that has been held behind a dam of strength
Once the tears flow
You feel that I am closer to you
Let the tears come
They must have their time to water down the pain
Diluting all that you have concentrated
Once the tears flow
Let them carry away their source
into another river
to an ocean
Where all tears flow
You may revisit the ocean
Where the tears have flown
Sharing in the bond
That tears must flow
