Losing him caused me so much grief
But finally I now feel some relief.

It took some time and many tears
I had to accept, all my fears.

Through all of this only some stayed true
And because of this I want to thank you.

I needed you most of all
Because you helped me soften my fall.

I no this pain will not quickly end
But helps so much knowing that youre my friend.

Youve been there through it all
And I know that youre the one I can call.

When everything falls apart
Youll be there to help fix my heart.

And so Im trying to say
Thank you for brightening my day.
