I wish that I could
Step into your shoes
A little girl with cancer
A man that had the blues
I wish that I could
See life through your eyes
A drug addicted mother
A child paralyzed
I wish that I could
Feel the way you feel
A racist comment towards you
A life thats so surreal
I wish that I could
Live life the way you do
A homeless on the street
Going hungry for a week
I wish that I could live life the way you do
Stepping deep into your shoes
And seeing life how you see it
I wish that I understood
How you would feel
When your misunderstood
I wish that I could
Let you see life
From my point of view
All the people that hate me
Because of what I am
Not what I could be
I wish that you would fit in my shoes
Just so you can see
The discrimination
I see everyday
In my life
I wish that I was
Able to see life
From a birds eye view.
