Take this blindfold form my eyes
i want to see
our love's demise
never want to blink or look away
i'll stand and stare
as you decay
for you are no longer a part of me
no longer in my mind
i'm trouble free
no longer bound by the ties of hate
arms not restricted
not looking to escape
for i am happy in my life of peace
the silence is golden
of belated release
keep your feelings, take them away
i dont want them
or the words you say
my ears are deaf to your voice
you can shout the loudest
but i have the choice
so as i embark on my life
i am relieved
that you took the knife

An attempt to write an emotional poem with a pinch of melancholy in it and our poet friend has greatly succeeded in the attempt. Well done friend.
