The plight of 3RD world country children

Contributed by randyjohnson on Saturday, 19th August 2006 @ 10:01:40 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

When we get up in the morning, all seems to be fine.
But that changed for me during the summer of 1999.
My heart was broken when I turned on my TV.
I saw sick and dying children in third world countries.
Some of these children pick up diseases because they have no shoes for their feet.
Some are dying because they don't have enough food to eat.
The plight of these children isn't fair.
I decided to do something then and there.
I started sponsoring two of these children and I help them to survive.
I'm proud to say that my contribution keeps them alive.
I beg more people to sponsor these kids too.
Trust me when I say that it's the right thing to do.

You are right, we all just need to learn to help one another again. Good message getting through to me. Thanks for sharing.
