its harder to turn love into friendship, rather friendship into love

Contributed by ellimac on Sunday, 20th August 2006 @ 02:05:50 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I wish I could write a song, 'case words with a guitar are more convinicing.
I wish I could sing, so lyrics and melody would come together.
You wished me gone, so here i go,
Not a friend nor a foe.
"Strangers", was how you put it,
I couldn't have said it any better myself I thought
While lying in my bed,
Then I pulled the covers over me and fell asleep instead.
Then morning came, and I realized what i had done.
I searched for solutions, but I had found none.
This was not what I had wanted, all I was looking for was my friend.
The one I got to know and loved, and wanted to be with me 'till the end.
The one who shared her life with me and listened when I did the same
And now I wondered what we became.
'Cause the phone calls were dull and everything I did was wrong,
And now all I can hear are the faint dialogue of our songs.
"Let Me Love You", "Gots Ta Be", "Cupid" and the rest
And I remember how I told you, you had my heart under arrest.
I guess its easier for me to stay in the past than look in into the present
And think about all the times that we've spent
Just hanging around, mostly playing ball
Its what I miss most of all.
Because It takes me back to the beginning, back to November
Where I said "Falling for her?", "Never."
And when I think of green, I think back to March and my first kiss
And all the other times you put me in bliss.
"Bliss is ignorance" is the quote
And you kno that I hate everything I wrote.
'Cause it was written for you...
And lets see how I'll finish this, with my hands shaking
This is still my heart breaking,
And its still yours for the taking.
