Is there a trick to making you smile?
Is it in the angels, dancing backwards in the rain,
Following the moonlight come to greet the world again;
Or is it in the wild, tired grass,
That dreams of growing free,
That dreams itself another self beside a golden sea,
Or is it yet still,
In the shadow of a smile
Thats been away a while,
Waiting for the rain
To wash away your pain;
Waiting for the sea
To set your smile free?

you're right. its different from what you usually write. really. but regardless, as it is with all your other poems, i loved this one, you really have something in your writing, a quality, that just draws me into the poems.
