the Tree song

Topic: SongLyrics

The Tree Song

I will go and see her
Whenever I get a chance
And watch her in the slightest breeze
Do her constant dance
Sometimes all her rustling leaves
Just put me in a trance
Excuse me miss
Now can I have this dance

(Chorus)

cause Im in love with a tree
Not your usual philosophy
But her roots are so far in the ground
You can sense the security
And I know as long as Im around
Right there shell always be
I guess Im just in love
With a tree

Now she dont wear no fancy clothes
Or fancy smelling stuff
And it dont seem to bother her
If her complexions a little rough
And she dont mind when I sing my songs
Seems she cant get enough
I guess Ill stay with her
Till she leaves me

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
Now trees dont rule ya
Theyre true to ya
They never let you down
Forever young when theyre young
Seems theyll always be around
And when theyre old
Theyre forever old
Majestic and profound

Unless we cut em down

Now sometimes when this crazy world
Really gets me down
I go down to my favorite tree
Sit umbrellad on her ground
Her subtle whisperings bring me hope
We can turn this world around
Sure you can say
YOURE NUTS!
Its just a tree

But (Chorus)

*clapping* Coming from a tree loving, tree hugging hippy....I really dug your tune. Very nicely done. Your love for trees is outstanding. I could relate to so many things in here. Thank you so much for sharing.
Peace, Laura
