The End

Don't wait
Never wait
Life passes by as you wait
People pass by too
People who say "I'll always be there for you"
Where are you now?

I'm here
I'm always here
Roll up
Roll up everyone
Come to me with all your problems
then walk away when I need to talk

Thankyou
thanks a lot
Push me aside
I'm o.k.
I'm o.k.
I'll just be waiting in the same old place
Kick me in the face

You say "I never asked you to wait"
Is that all I get?
Well again
Thankyou
Thanks for being so understanding
Don't know what I'd do without you

Right now people will say
"Stop feeling sorry for yourself"
but I will
I will start feeling sorry for myself
I need to
I need to try and think what I might want
cos I keep leaving myself 'til last
So here I go feeling sorry for me
No one else is
Not deep within anyway

Right now I'm so tired
I don't sleep
I can't eat
Im so lonely
who cares?
After all "You're not the only one" they'll say
and I'm probably not the only doormat either
Yes
Welcome in
Don't forget to wipe the dirt off your shoes
That's right
Wipe it all off into my face

Can't believe I'm left with nothing
All that's left are
My feelings
My thoughts
My anger
My frustration
And this site to throw it all out on
(thanks by the way)
I could play my guitar
but I know I would smash it up
Suprised I haven't smashed this laptop up

You may not of asked me to wait
but I did
That's what I do
I wait
I won't give up on people if I can help it
I've listened to you
I've worked along side you
to help you
but you won't help me now
Can't believe I'm your doormat too

Well don't suppose it matters now anyway
Who wants a used up doormat?
All worn and threadbare
You've pushed me aside now
Pushed me from where I was waiting
with my stupid "WELCOME" sign printed on my head
Waiting for the next kick
and the next lot of dirt to come off your shoes
You've all stood on me too much now
that the only letters left say WEL
WELL
Thats all I'll say now
"WELL?"
"WHO CARES?"
Thanks everyone for turning me into someone
I never wanted to be

So I'll go now
and leave you all an empty space
for you to place a new doormat

A doormat yes one of those I have been,
Well at least it keeps the carpets clean,
But don't give up , and don't be blue,
Remember who is best , thats YOU

This poem has double meaning, Its quite skilfully done. Don't take my answer poem offensively, because I have been a doormat to many of my so called friends, and yes they wiped their feet on me also. Enjoyed reading this poems hidden meaning. Sue x
