I felt your pain today as we sat upon the grass You didnt have to say a word, I didnt have to ask I hugged you close and I could feel the hurting deep inside I felt your tears upon my lips when I kissed you as you cried
I recognise your torment, for I also feel it too Ive always wondered if you felt the same way as I do I know it took so long for you to say the word But darling, when you did, it was the best thing that Ive heard
Life is far too short to sit and wonder how or why, Sometimes you just have to trust and give it another try, Weve come so far in this past year, and I can truly see That when God put you on this earth, you were made for me
Ive never felt this certain, Ive never felt this sure I know now your ailments and I believe I have the cure I want to walk beside you, to assist you through the years I want to be the one, that can dry your hidden tears
Im afraid that when I hug you, that will be the last And things will end up as they did in recent past I hate having to wave goodbye and watch you drive away I wish forever that everyday with me youd stay
When you said what you were looking for I listened patiently My heart fluttered when you said youd found those things in me I want to make you happy, and I want to make you whole I want to help you love again and heal your injured soul
I'll wait for you until the last star falls down from the sky, I promise that youll have my heart until the day I die. Please believe me when I say every word to you is true Because darling, the only one that I will ever love is you!
