The scent of you passed me
And I turned quickly around,
Hoping to see you
Hoping we could change things
That lately have kept us apart.
Hoping that the friend I once had
Would be discovered again
But as I turned, I realised
The smell of you was only in my mind
finally I realise
Our friendship was long ago,
and disappeared down the drain
