So Far Away, Yet So Close

Contributed by Willofree on Thursday, 31st August 2006 @ 05:16:03 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

From every waking hour we spent
To wayward absence, that time must bear
Although no longer present
Your fragrance still lingers in the air
Especially during the night fears
When my pillow soaks up all my tears

The parting scene in my minds eye
Supposedly a separation of a temporary kinid
But was it really a lie
Questions keep invading my mind
From which no answer we choose
Regarding length and time issues

May the distance be measured in mind
Rather than regular time
Where thought and heartbeat are assigned
To depict a mode of travel of some other kind
To transcend all the miles apart
Measure the distance by the beat of the heart

I envision the day you left
As your departing figure vanished
You became but an imagined silhouette
Both feeling at a disadvantage
Separation became our sad refrain
Absence measured by heartache and pain

Oh wil .. this one touched me so very deeply. How deeply,
I could never truly convey.

Thank you for this. It's incredibly moving. I'm sure I am
not the only one here who will see that .. : ) I have to
say, the words, sentiments and style of this are
positively captivating. My favourite of yours, thus far.

so painfully beautiful.

*hugs you tight*

Thanks for your PM about this, Will. I'm honoured, truly.

And my write does yours no justice. You took my idea and completely made it yours. Well done.

I love this Will, the depth of emotion is fabulous.

Great write,
*hugs*
