Dreamer

Contributed by oneir8dude on Thursday, 31st August 2006 @ 11:39:41 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

There are two types of Beings
No more that I am seeing

The Dreamers and the realists
The latter started this mess

Dreamers dream of better ways
To fill their beautiful days

And what they can do to stay in paradise
And their lives feeling nice

Realists worry of plans and what tomorrow brings
Troubling over nonsense and monetary things

And why the other looks the way they do
And not knowing what they want to

They have too much on their minds to dream
And look discontent on the decisions it seems

Why would anyone want to live for tomorrow
When not living for today brings such sorrow

Realists concern themselves of others
And try to control the life of another

You can tell a dreamer by the look in their eye
And the smile on their face when some one walks by

The way they laugh and tap their toe to a tune
And how they have no concern but to gaze at the moon

Why would anyone not enjoy what they have
And enjoy their lives and be glad

It boggles my mind
That people are two of a kind

The world has not enough dreamers in it
The world should stop and pause a bit

And think of things that are heart felt and true
Which one are you

Im a dreamer

Nice write. Made me think of "Imagine" by John Lennon. Yeah, I'm a dreamer too. Sweet, thanks for sharing.
Peace, Laura

What a wonderful write, really enjoyed the read. It made me wonder which one I was, sorry to say but I am little of both. I like to dream but, yet I am a realist when having to deal with life’s challenges.

A lovely poem, the magic around dreamers, the poignant joy thats innate in them... You are so right, you can tell them by the look in their eye, and the smile on their face. Their special magic touch something in you all the time, dont they?
