I wish I could just go away
Leave my body behind
Leave my mind
In normalcy
Without this obvious
Transparent and artificial
Emotional thinking
Emotive, the tears streaming
Cry myself a song
The night alone is misleading
If only I had a hand to hold
To dance around and stroll
To pull closer
Let the night take control
Let the moonlight guide us
The secret path untold
Is rapidly receding
I am a monster
A flare for the dramatic
Its my profession to show empathy
I refuse to be sympathetic
Yet I fuel the flame
And make things problematic
By opening this hole
The deterioration is systematic
The electricity is static
As the shock of energy
Is delivered passively, but emphatic
First the misuse
Then the greed sets in
Thirsty for attention
The spot light shines
The video tape rewinds
In three, two, one,
You are on live

Holy Crap M!! Powerful write!
How I do relate to this. On more levels than I should
care to say, (or even understand, truth be told).
Exceptional mastery here. An emotional blade sliced
right through the proverbial heart. Damn, this is good!
