YESTERDAY

Contributed by jmakuer on Monday, 4th September 2006 @ 02:37:50 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

yesterday when you called me and told me it was the end

you told me its over and you want to move on

I couldn't understand why and what did I do to make

you put all this to an end

you called me and told me goodbye

I tried so hard not to let you hear me cry

damn it hurts so

there was nothing I could say or do

to get a good grip of my actions and keep you

to hold you again the woman I always love

I broke into hallucination, and lost in this world

nightmares of you holding another man kicks in

the finality of my treasure has come and I must accept it

I broke down and dropped to my knees and lost my faith

in the world I have known, the world of me and you

I could not tell the difference between day and night

because the lights were dimming and fading far away from me

I am hopeless and the dreams of being with a true love vanished

now I know I will never get to hold you tight again

my heart is feeling weary; I guess its the fondness that I feel for you

or probably the broken pieces inside my lungs

the tears are bitter, and damn they burn worse than a fire

I was once in heaven, enjoying an endless stream of love

but when you called and said good bye

I fell the burning fire inside me eat me out slowly

you left me in darkness because the sooner you hung up the

my whole lights dimmed out, and the dark blurred

sometimes I wonder what is worth taking another breath for

why do I want o move on when I awake to an empty day

knowing that you arent by my side when the night comes

I happened to know the truth is that I still love you

and making through another day is worth it

because I get to see you smile, I see the happiness you seek sinks in

and thats why I keep on moving to see my true love set free

from the cage that she was trapped in.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
