Desires home

Contributed by twbanter on Wednesday, 6th September 2006 @ 03:41:08 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

If only desire had a resting place
A place where it could run free
If only this passion had its own home
It wouldnt have to live inside me
If only even for a moment
Then for a moment Id be free

(chorus)
(I was) (I am)
Driven by desires crazy needs
Passion gets the best of me (2Passion always gets, gets the best of me) (3Wont get, get..)
Where the hell did my life go (3Now Ill go where my life goes)
With its wants and its dreams (3With my own wants and needs)
After you stepped out (2stepped out, ya you stepped right out) (3Forgetting you ever stepped out)
In front of me (Right in front of me)

Now I cant close my eyes
Or even hold my breath
And make the whole damned thing just go away
And so gently you say
To just take my time
But it crushes me and holds me down
Every waking moment, of every waking day

(Bridge)
Once I was a spirit so wild and free
Once I had my whole life in front of me
You snatched that all away
When you looked at me that way
And maybe you werent even looking at me
But when you pierced my heart
Thats the way it seemed

(chorus)

How does one explain the wrenching way you feel
When you finally meet your destiny
And how does one skip over and shun
Something they need so desperately
If I only had an answer
Id find desires house
Where passion lives as well
Tip toe around his sleeping
Put him in his shell
Id leave him safe and warm
And so quietly Id sneak out
And Id be gone!
No longer (chorus)
