Shattered dreams

He smiles at me but does not see
as he projects his shattered dreams
across a distance infinite
this man, he is not what he seems
he just forgot, has been forgotten
by his beloved ones; smiling eerie
at his search across the void
was he ever meant to see?
Does he smell flowers, feel the rainbow
and the many-colored beams
does he experience their powers
as he's picking at their seams?
His soul lacks anger, hate and sorrow
he feels the future of the notion
his love is past, maybe tomorrow
he will recall that lost emotion
which is the reason for the worries
of people just like you and me
deep in his soul are many flurries;
that blinded man will never see.

an interesting piece .. I'm not sure I understand
it fully .. but it has beautiful moments in it.
It all seems a bit sad to me, though .. even
amidst the beauty~
