I lie awake on a sleepless night,
Falling in slumber fills me with fright.
For when I step inside my dreams door,
Ill be wishing to wake up no more.
Call me a dreamer, hopelessly in love.
Wishing for a miracle from above,
Praying that someday, youll love me too,
Believing that some dreams can come true.
My will gives up as I close my eyes,
And I stroll inside the world of lies,
I see you smiling, holding my hand,
Walking with me in a bliss-filled land.
Flowers bloom with every step you take,
Birds sing along every breath you make.
A rainbow forms from where you stand,
And clouds shift with a wave of your hand.
A gentle wind draws me close to you,
In an embrace that I never knew,
And you enfold your arms around me,
I never knew such tranquility.
Everything is perfect as it seems,
But time passes swiftly inside these dreams,
And I wake up, seeing my empty bed,
With your face lingering in my head.
Even if I want to go back to sleep,
I can do nothing more but weep.
Call me a dreamer, dreaming of you,
Hoping someday, my dreams will come true.

Very very very good. I know exactly what you mean... I have been married for 5 years and more often than not I feel the way that you have portrayed in what you have written here. I dont think that there is anything here that I can speak negatively about. GREAT write. Thank You.

I completely know what you mean, as I'm sure many do. Sometimes all you want to do is sleep because you know that's the closest you'll ever get... It's such a bad, but at the same time good, feeling...
