The plight of philosophy
Ahhh the bliss of knowledge Finally all is know But one wonders Were things missed? Perhaps a slip? Just maybe overlooked? As man declares, all now is laid bare Will this ever prevail? Utopia finally here! Still questions Still wonder persists But for sure, the downtrodden still exists? The enlightened Will always discount this They wont follow our lead! They say But isnt that where the quest For enlightenment, stamps out revolt? Is it hopeless? A vain quest indeed Or will man ever succeed In the discovery Of Gods never ending seed? The seed of inquisition Inborn to some Yet aggrieved by many Those who say Be quiet! Youre upsetting the way! Yet some, fortunately Arent swayed

We humans know so very little in the grand scheme of things... we, sadly, allow ourselves such limited knowledge and let ourselves only partly experience the everything this life is. I'd argue, personally, that we suffer this lost opportunity more as the result of our own willingness to follow the herd than the herd's insistence that we do. We are so ridiculously mundane and such foolish creatures of routine and culture... even, horribly, in thought. Sad, this.
Thought provoking piece, obviously. And... for the record... I was half tempted to apologize for seemingly contradicting your words with my comment --- but to do so, seemed to fly in the face of what you and I did agree on here... that we ought let go whatever it is that tethers us to monotony and sameness. *winks*

fantastic post Tim.. truly-
..the pugilism of science vs. philosophy
has been raging for a millennia-
neither side might ever gain divine redress..
and so, the struggle for the soul, will no doubt, continue throughout the next as well.
seems to me, that a perfect union of the two, would at long last, bring enlightenment to the masses..
I can't help, but think of the possibilities~
..though, on the contrary, that ego play a part in the human psyche..lol
..perhaps we'll never understand that, which has long been, so painfully obvious-
what a great piece! ..thanks again~
