They march in by night, Lightning fast they take our lives, Will we be here tomorrow, To see another day come and pass,
You fight to remain, You fight to die, Is this really our purpose, To end the lives of our foes,
(A nation we dont know)
We have to spill the blood, But we cant stain the floor,
Carry the torch, Carry on the torture, Carry your loved and bury your dead, If you fall youre forgotten, If you rise you stand alone, Do we fight or be fought, Do we kill or be killed, The decision is yours,
If you survive, You dont deserve this life, Black hawks are the murder, In this game we call life,
We have to spill the blood, But we cant stain the floor, Carry the torch, Carry on the torture, Carry your loved and bury your dead, If you fall youre forgotten, If you rise you stand alone, Do we fight or be fought, Do we kill or be killed, The decision is yours,
We have to spill the blood, But we cant stain the floor,
Will this torture ever end? Will we survive this life weve made? Will the heavens except our sins? Will they forgive us for another day?

| Your poem is very well written and powerful. If I am interupting correctly you are writing about being a soldier in war (Iraq?). The emotions expressed and evoked are compelling. And you are not ever forgotten. |
