His Love

Contributed by Boobee on Friday, 15th September 2006 @ 12:01:11 AM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

When I think of God's love, even my thoughts crack a smile
His love satisfies, ratifies, and gratifies, fully
It is an unflinching as a raging river
And there is nothing that could altar it's course
No mountain or valley peaks that could even reach... so high
No fence nor gate could slow or stop it
And no walls of stone and brick could ever hope to contain it
It overfills, overflows, and overwhelms
And not to overstate the obvious... but God is good
He is the poet of my creation
With His handwriting on all that was
He is the conductor of life's symphony
With his melody on all that there is
And He is the gardener of greatness
His tree bearing fruit of what is to be
But we need to go out on that limb
Be a seed in God's garden and bloom in his grace
Become rooted in the Almighty
Or get plucked... like other weeds
Indeed, nothing less that success is what he provides
And we should close our eyes and look inside... ourselves
But this
No this is not a game
And even if it was, it would be one you can't win
Because you aren't playing
Just riding the bench
A game can't be wont if you do not play
And your prayers wont be answered if you do not pray
So drop to your knees and raise up the praise
The fights of your life may have you battered and bruised...
But you not knocked out
The storms raining pain and sorrow may silence your voice
But you can still... get up and shout
Yes, you can get up and shout
Shout for the Father
For the love that He shows us with each moment of life
And for the blessings he bestows with each blink of an eye
For the strength and confidence to break the shackles and stand...
And for the faith to reach out without seeing his hand
And for the healing...
I don't just mean the physicality
But also my spirituality
Because we should have the mentality of a christian
To recognize and realize
That to be more closer to He...
You got to be more closer to me
I will be more closer to you
And we can go on together
Together in God's love
