I come alive when I see you
Your smile warms my heart and I feel you
With one hand you wave and I cherish my fate
At last I will know if I am yours
I vision our life together
Your hug will shelter me forever
Without any warning you lean very close
As stupid as I am I turn
Is this right or is it wrong?
Words are not spoken and you let me go
I keep eye contact perhaps you will try again
Not a twitch in your lip, you disconnect from my grip
What was I thinking?
How long I was waiting?
I have second thoughts about this relationship?
He notices my face and brushes my hair
I shut my eyes and try not to cry
My chance for love went out with a bang
At last I try to tell him true
I wish I could scream it until I turn blue
Minutes felt like an eternity
How he keeps calm without moving
I sigh with relief as I finish
Let me hide in any nearby trenches
But wait to my surprise
I feel his hand next to mine
He whispers ever so lightly in my ear
I smile with hope that its actually here
With no more thoughts in my head
We share a first kiss and not the last
