In Iraq it goes on and on and on The endless torture with all hope gone So much BS by Bush weve already heard As if he really could have cared
He wants the focus to move away From the slaughter we see every day But those end timers of his, do they really care? Or is this exactly their chosen fare?
This is just what they love to see The end of the world fills them with glee Bring on Armageddon! Lets have more war! Thats what theyre all screaming for
Build Solomons Temple on the mount! Just another tick on the checklist count Much more war, thats what they long to see More blood, guts and misery
To see blood to the bridle there and here As they call: 'Come on hate!' 'Come on fear!' But tell me you end timers, what has this to do With the word of Jesus? Those links are few.
Youd rather wade through pools of blood Than do whats truly good Youre sights are on rapture, this I know What sick freaks you are that sneer and crow
As poor Iraq becomes an unholy mess You scream as if righteous. Come on, confess... You look forward to the Third World War With Israel two thirds gone, and what for...?
So that your fantasy end times can appear And you can then rapture on out of here But dont you know its just one sick joke? To yet another lie you strap on the yoke?
With the imbecile Bush you see your chance To end this world without backward glance Dont you know Jesus would think you insane? When you pray for war, torture and pain?
Hed disown you and this mania if he came down And your sad-ass president whos such a clown Across the world you now spread your hate As you try to bring us to hells very gate

It is hard to know whether to comment only on poetry itself or the content. As I have stated other times I really think you write well. In regard to your content I think you should also ask youself why it was that over 60% of the Iraqi people chose to defy death threats and violence to go and vote in their elections. That 60% is far more that the number of people who vote in elections in the United States. Also, unfortunately AlQueda is now ensconced in the politics and violence in Iraq causing far more deaths and casualties that our soldiers who certainly rather be in another place. The various religious sects in Iraq seem to be doing a wonderful job of killing each other in what seems to be a very violent civil war. Should the Americans pull out right now as you would have them do what would happen to this country? Bush has certainly done some wrong things but he is not the monster that you seem to want to make him. Arn't we lucky that we live in a country where one can say horrible things about its leaders and nothing happens to them because it is our right to do so. As I stated before your poetry lights a fire inside of me. |

Very good rhyme, Steeleyes. Your passion really shows. The escatology of the Pre-mil's is wrong and leads them astray, but I don't think they're as blood thirsty as your poem indicates. Do you see as much wrong with the terrorists? The war in Iraq may have been a mistake, but we will have to confront radical Islam sooner or later. Better now, while we are strong and they are weak. They've already practically neutralized Europe.
Well anyway, it's a well written poem.
