Inspired by Jen (one day)
I left yesterday, yesterday
And now Im in tomorrow today
Tomorrow if I wake, means today has gone
Today is yesterday, in just one day
And next week, or next month
Time will make that go away
If I ever get a day to keep
Itll be another day, in another week
And Ill say, some day
Boy that was the good old day
Till then, I guess Ill just live one day at a time
If I could pick it, it would be
Tomorrows yesterday,
On a day like today
If only it would stay, today
And stop going away (like yesterday, and the day before!)
In ten more minutes
This will be ten minutes ago
Its no wonder where the days all go
They pass away like this second just did
And there it goes again!
Though some days seem to never end
Today gives tomorrow the right to begin
Thats what yesterday did for today
But it wont begin until todays end
Course, by then itll be to late
And time, oh you monster
Youve done it once again!
Some day Ill get you back
But not this day
Maybe yesterday, Ill do it today
Now damned! thats slipped away
