Looking back upon Stone-cold embers In a rear-view mirror Of October skies Looking back into Ship-wrecked waters These memories are Like music to my eyes
Press your ear Against my chest and Listen to the ocean Either it's your music Or "The tinsmith forgot To give me a heart...

... music to my eyes?
Abstract or not, that image doesn't really work. That said, though, on the whole I like this one. The lines move well and interact with each other as they should, and the images are mostly quite luminous.
Sounds like you're off to a good start. Write on, as much as you can. There's nothing to improve writing like doing it all the time.
