Dream - Machine

Contributed by Franciswolf on Wednesday, 20th September 2006 @ 03:21:18 AM in AEST
Topic: surreal

I shot a robot
It bleeds oil black
Complete a found attack
Sputter, gutter, mechanic clutter

Make me God! I want to feel the beeps and clings turn to selfless sufferings

Hate the fate
Believe it true
Its nothing new
Dying, lying, crucifying

Hey, make me you! I want biblical scripture turned to battery liquid mixture

And total chaos would be love
Itd frighten you in everything you ever believed true
Itd expel you, derail you, and leave you off the path battered at the side
Youd be left to hide, left to mutter, grumble incoherently about how great it all is
How you two just sit at home and talk for hours about life while you feel the wrinkles on your face straightening, dusting, youre dusting, youre an antique, welcome to the photo album take your place next to Aunt Deb and the party guess yet unnamed,

You can love the dream or love the machine but you cant machine the dream or dream up machines.

I shot the robot
Hate the fate
It bleeds oil black
Believe it true
Complete a found attack
Its nothing new
Sputter, gutter, mechanic clutter
Dying, lying, crucifying

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
