My Dad, My Hero

When I was little, You held me in your arms, And always kept me safe, From every days passing harm.
You have been there for me, When I have succeeded and failed, And your love for me, Never seems to run out.
Now I thank the lord above, That the angel he sent down from heaven, Was chosen to be my dad.
So dad I want you to know, That as the years go by, My love will not run out, For you are my dad, and my hero, And that will stay the same forever.

I always welcome a tribute to a parent - I lost my Dad a few years ago - so I must share in the love you have for yours Kassisdi - A lovely poem indeed.
