the night is a good friend at times
we can hide in the shadows and not show ourselves
for fear of that the mask hiding what we feel may shatter
here in the night there is safety
alone with your thoughts
just the gloom deepening ..getting darker
the night is a shelter a refuge from the world
the dark has no hurtful words to yell at you
no accusations to make
the darkness caresses you with its shadowy tentacles
and eventually you may fall asleep in its
empty embrace
night gone morning light dawns
mask reappears ,you hide from yourself again,waiting for the anonomity of thenight to embrace you once again in its lonely emptiness
