The joy of watching a butterfly fly
Brings up the question of why
Do we not see theres freedom in flight
Till we lay our heads on our pillows at night
We see it when in our dream-laden slumber
We forget when our problems all seem to number
When the butterfly do we see
We remember what it is to be free
We need reminders in our waking hours
When our lives begin to sour
Our minds are small and immune to new things
Except the trivial and the torment it brings
When the dog sees the insect float
And the hair stands up on his shiny coat
He wants to play and chase it so
He runs and jumps to and fro
He loses it when it turns to the sky
He barks and jumps and oh does he try
But when its out of his canine grip
His mind on more fun starts to slip
Why cant we have the mind of a beagle
Whos loyal and loving and thinks so regal
They have no care or concern of issues

Up in the air the air he likes to fly

Bill, You did an absolute fantastic job on this piece. When Ann sings that song it can produce a goose-pimply feeling. *smiles* (and I had to go and listen to it of course) What a wonderful write, with such a carefree feel.
