Breakdown 49

Contributed by secretwind on Tuesday, 26th September 2006 @ 10:25:42 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Dazed and staggering
on the edge
of falling down..
I watch the buzzards
as they
fly towards me now.

I'm in pain
silently I scream
cause I feel so down,
what is out is in
and I spin
going round and round.
It's so strange
if I say
what I need
conflict of Interest
would only knock me down
to the ground,
I'm so confused and abused
nothing makes sense to me now.

There's no escape
so I
try not to make a sound
chaos reigns
and I shake.

I'm in pain...
I'm in pain...
I'm in pain...

HEY
can you hear me
as I scream
through all the chaos and mayhem
swirling
round and round,
I never say what I mean
but I need
to do it now.
It's so strange
what I feel
as I fade
and slowly breaking down,
nothing will change
it's so Insane.

Writing or any art that one may enjoy or be talented at is a good way to channel our feelings. Especially, for those of us who write--- sometimes when we speak we are not articulate, but give us a pen and it's almost like we are someone else in the way that we are able to use words. All I can say is keep your head up. We are in the ocean of life, and sometimes the water settles for a moment so we can breath.

Insane no I would say. Emotionally torn, maybe. I can fully relate to this one. Mixed up mind, and hidden fears. Yes been there, and probably will be there again one day.
Its a very emotional and thought provoking write. I understand. Sue x

Fantastic write. Some of the best poetry from the best of poets is of the "self-struggling" category. We, as poets, realize the power of therapy in presenting our words on the page (or now, the internet). It's almost like self analysis, working through the moment or the cycle of self-struggle. Remember the monkeywrench of goodness that you hold to throw into the works of such moments will soon break that cycle. It's the way life works. Hang in there. Great work!
