My Wife

Contributed by denson on Wednesday, 27th September 2006 @ 12:24:19 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I'll never forget the first time I laid eyes on my wife.
Her milky white skin, her long blonde hair,
the curves of her body, her beaming blue eyes,
for I knew then, that in her arms was where I wanted to spend the rest of my life.

At twenty eight years old, she made me feel like a teenage boy all over again.
She made me sweat. She rendered me speechless. She was in my every thought.
And though I thought I would never have her,
I was determined to to make her my wife, and live with her to the very end.

She relented, we tied the knot, and she became my beautiful bride.
I found myself part of a new family,
and it made me the happiest man ever.
A man who had never felt, such an enormous sense of pride.

Marriage is tough. As time passes, we sometimes take for granted what we have in life.
But when difficult times arise,
all I have to do is go back,
to the first time I laid eyes on my wife.

Wow, guy that was an excellent way of expressing your feelings and dedication to your wife. Just remember that she is not only your wife but should be your best friend as well.

Please take a moment to read “When We First Met” it may give you a better understanding of what I am trying to relay.

May you and your wife have many blessings and may your hearts be filled with peace and joy.
