Youve been with me since I was a child
Always lingering, always tormenting
Ill give it to you that youve been faithful
You peruse me without rest
Your voice whispers to me
You are worthless, ugly, stupid
You are nothing you are know one
I own you I control you
Youve taken my life
I didnt have a choice
You choose me, why me
Where has my life gone
Ive let you grip me
Ive let you ruin my relationships
Ive let you cloud my mind, my spirit
Ive let you slowly destroy me
Im sorry depression
I cant go this road with you
The road is dark, I cannot see
My dead body screams to be free
Im sorry depression but please leave me be

Wow hard hitting poem
I know the feeling all to well
I suffer from depression
but i learn as much as i can and how to fight it and it isnt so bad anymore
Just keep your head up and remember
its something you can beat
and yes my poem was about me
and no i dont use no more |

DannyGirl, you are absolutely right about Depression.
If this is Major Depressive Disorder you're talking about, I know exactly how you feel.
I was diagnosed with the disorder when I was in 7th grade. I'm now a Junior in college and I still have the darn disorder following me around.
*SIGH*
What can you do?
I guess all we can do is stay strong and fight it with all the grit we've got. But don't waste too much time on Depression, because this disorder isn't worth messing up your hard-earned status.
