In screaming for help, I remain silent
Desperate for someone, anyone, to hear my cries
To feel my pain
I'm surrounded by people
But I've never felt so alone
What can I do, besides admit defeat
Admit that once again, I've lost to something unknown
Something that laughs in my face every time I fall
Something that is constantly thinking of ways to keep me down
When all I want, all I need, is someone to help me up
Someone to support me, and keep me standing
Is everyone so blind that they can't see me stumbling
Is everyone so deaf that they can't hear me crying
Where is the one who will reach out their hand
Close it over mine
And never let go
When will I find someone to open my heart
And mend my soul
To release me from all the things holding me back
So that finally, I'll be free
