Snowy Mist

All the things I've done for you.
All the things you put me through.
All these things I wish I could
erase all from my mind for good.

Who would ever think that I,
-the cleanest girls that you could find,
would ever get lost in Snowy Land
holding tight onto you hand.

Every step you took I took.
Every way you looked I looked.
Every line you blew I blew.
And your crew soon became my crew.

And then, you, without a word,
did the thing I knew you would.
You simply let go off my hand
and left me stand in snowy land.

You left and took the happiness,
with ice cold heart left loneliness.
Snowy dust had let me dance
the dance of fake white confidence.

The second time I let you in
I was happy, nice and clean.
When you ran away this time
snow, again, was on my mind.

During months my memories shrink
but those of you will never sink.
You'll never melt into the ground.
You and snow-first two I found.

You asked me once why I still cared.
You asked me with a wondering stare.
I've been looking for the answer since
you showed me secrets of snowy mist.

Good write. The snow was never good for me, so I stayed out of the cold. I'm sorry it sucked you into the winter time blues of it all. I've seen friends snowed under. Sad sight. I hope you take care of yourself and keep the path shoveled clean.
Peace, Laura

Nicely written. I loved the first half of it, but liked the rest as well...

Great write,
