Maledictions

Contributed by Man_On_High on Wednesday, 11th October 2006 @ 02:40:25 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Problems put aside
by the inevitable descent of Heaven..
and the visit of memories
and the assembly of rhythms
occupy my mind.

Members of a lifetime past
scamper off on the tell-tale track-
and along the city streets,
black-chrome laced,
pervaded by
some new carbonic plague,
a miserable boy of drama
sighs l o n g
at an improbable fate.

Desperate and pining for life
down the weary way;
drunkeness and wounds
of black and scarlet~
..a boy, stifling his maledictions-
'the swirling eddys of his strife:
his body breath and visions.
__________

A man of ordinary consitution..

Was not my flesh
the fruit of childhood days?
Oh! To love!
..the peril and the power-
the treasure to squander..
and my time left slopes,
fertile in the lineage;
inciting the crime of mourning~

but members and their calculations
and all of their many dissipations
are only a moment's dance..
a moment's voice,
not fixed and not forced;
although reason, for the success
of my current emotion.

My dearest love,
The curse that has hold of YOU, is only this .. you love.

Your heart entraps you, my sweet poet. It harbours so much of what it is that
you dare not say or feel .. and that can be both a blessing AND a curse.

The emotions hidden within this very write are cause for commotion .. but even
inside the "sadness", a small becon of light burns ever bright. And it is this light
that directs your current state .. guiding you to all that is good and true ~

And those that see it .. feel it .. yearn for it, attending them to a better way
.. our mistakes must ultimately HELP us and our causes. The first step
is realizing that we've made mistakes and accepting the fact. Only then,
can we truly be free. LOVE, is the one gift that can withstand all and every
hurt afflicted upon our weary souls ..

forgiveness is not so foreign a concept. : )

and yeah .. I know there is more meaning in here
... I would not dare to assume otherwise ~

Your work is layered so heavily, I am flooded with wonder at it's enormity.
Sad, painful and so utterly beautiful, love. And exquisitely so!!

Now and forever , yours with love ~

~Rox

These words were grand. I loved the piece in its entirety. As usual I am left impressed and envious.

Great as always
