There is Never a Second Chance

Topic: SadPoetry

There is a place,
A different earth I desire to be,
Of another color,
Of another world,

There is a place,
A different place I long to be,
Of another heart,
Of another life,

There is place,
A different time I yearn to return,
Of another air,
Of another being,

There is a place,
A very different place,
I was there once a long time ago,
I wish I could go back,

There is a place,
A different feeling so true,
So that my heart could beat once more,
And the smile return to my face,

There is a place,
A different home
That my eyes may see the green light,
That I might speed into open arms,

There is a place,
A different experience,
To be free from the prison of rejection,
Is all I want to be..

There is a place,
A different place of strength,
I was there and long to go back,
But the thing is there is never a second chance.

Nice write - and well summed up in the final stanza. It leads through the feeling at a good pace.
On the subject, it's not a good feeling. Still, as you've told me - one cannot go back.
Sometimes life gets hard and can even spit you out so you don't know who you really are anymore - but at these times, it's not good to look back over the times and beat yourself up over your mistakes or long for a love that couldn't love back etc... you just got to keep on walking and hope there's something good around the next corner...
BTW, I know I'm a hypocrite lol!
Hope you are enjoying yourself!

- Tim

very sad. but you don't need to go back because you'd just get hurt all over again. move forward and find the joy and love that you are meant to experience.
