Patiently I wait
Beneath the star-lit night sky
A smile pushing its way
And appearing on my face
As I think about you
I look to the sky
Yet there arent enough starts
So I look to the ground
Yet there arent enough blades of grass
There is nothing that I can compare
The reasons or intensity that I love you to
If I could have eternity
It might come close
But I strongly doubt it
For no matter what happens
I will always love you
Even if you hate me
Or travel to distant lands
Or when youre sleeping
And Im no longer breathing
Ill still feel the same
I just thought you should know
How I truly feel
For I patiently wait
Holding a rose of expression
Beneath a night sky
Illuminated by stars that can not match your eyes
Eyes that will soon be staring at me
Speeding up my heart
Telling me weve deserved each other
Right from the start
