Halloween

Contributed by lillyjane on Saturday, 14th October 2006 @ 05:51:03 AM in AEST
Topic: mystical

Little children trick and treating,
carrying bags with their sweets in,
dressed in costumes as ghosts and ghouls,
they laugh to think they have us fooled,

When they go home its quiet and still,
the clock strikes twelve, all, becomes real,
the living dead begin to stir,
who knows this night what will accur,

witches cackle weave their spells,
demons rise from the dephs of hell.
as the clock strikes the midnight hour.
can you hear, the werewolves howl,

peeping through curtains, what do I see,
a man in a cloak becons to me,
come my dear, its trick or treat,
I shiver from my head to my feet

sorry sir , I'm about to retire,
I collapsed in a heap, he was a vampire
On Halloween dont venture out,
you never know who's about,

your safer tucked up in your bed,
blankets wrapped around your head,
so stay indoors just in case,
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!
something cold, just touched my face,

Oooops I scared myself.

Excellent!

I remember, when I was a child, reading horror stories on Halloween and then not being able to sleep - every sound seemed sinister and caused me to jump out of my skin!

Well written

:D

Oh dear , best I don't come out on that night. This island has a rich history of witchcraft, they even had a witch museum called the Crucible. Best put me broomstick away till November then. HA ha Nice one Lillyjane, I love having the children round trick or treating, its a fun night. Loved the poem. Sue x
