Going Once, Going Twice

Going Once, Going Twice

Once again this time with nervous caution
I sit and wait for bidders at loves auction
Will anyone come forward and bid for my love
Or will I always be cryn to the Man up above
The gavel comes down.going once, going twice
How I wish seeking love was not my vice

Parading in front of all loves bidders
Some are serious. others just kidders
Hoping to fetch the best bid around
For once, I want to play on lifes playground
The gavel comes down.going once, going twice
How I wish seeking love wasnt my vice

Boredom, lust, loneliness, what is their reason
Love bidders vary just like the seasons
Collectors and traders, lifers too few
Since when did true love become so taboo
The gavel comes down.going once, going twice
How I wish seeking love was not my vice

My love up for bid prayn its for the last time
Because, Lord knows Ive had enough school time
Looking for kind, caring, funny and open
One who wont let loves words go unspoken
The gavel comes down.going once, going twice
How I wish seeking love was not my vice

At last someone is bidding for my affections
My love light burns bright excitedly it beckons
Answering the call the winning bid is made
Winning my love my bidders quest unswayed
The gavel comes down.going once, going twice
How happy I am that seeking love was my vice

This is a very good piece. I really really relate! The last line is exactly how I am. The third stanza is how I feel - the lament of so few people who are followers of living and loving!
And the fourth stanza - I hope the next is the last one in this game as well... I'm getting so tired to this game!
Great write and thank you for sharing!
