What are you doing
Across the room?
Are you looking? Thinking?
What do you assume?
Do you wish I'd turn around
And gaze into your eyes?
Do you wish I'd raise my hand
So you can hear my voice?
Do you wish I'd crack a smile
So you know I'm really okay?
Do you wish I'd need a tissue,
So I could talk your way?
Do you pretend not to notice me
So it doesn't hurt so bad?
Does every word remind you
Of what we recently had?
Do you wonder
What's on my mind?
Am I the one
You look up to find?
Do you know I'm here,
You most definitely should.
Do you even care?
Or do I just wish you would?
