Was it Fate that brought us together.

Topic: LovePoetry

If fate hath brought thee to my heart,
As the soothsayer did foresee,
Will the runes be our guiding star?
To our future life to be,

Will the stars lead us on our way?
Will the planets be on show?
Will the tarot cards reveal?
What I think perhaps we know,

Does the hand of fate point to us?
With a wizadry so bizarre,
Was it something in our star sign?
That brought us to where we are,

Did numerology play a part?
Or are chinese horoscopes the key?
Did the palmist see it in our hands?
Well lets just wait and see,

I would like to think attraction,
Was what brought us both together,
No books or signs do we need,
For our love it is forever.

Sue, a captivating theme that is almost a nature-nurture debate. So many familiar elements combine in this approach to the age old question of what attracts us to another.

Personally, I think it is certain physical and behavioural aspects of ourselves that we find positive, reflected in another, that we are drawn to - but that's a lot less romantic that stars and fate and magic (lol).

what an enchanting write..I think it's the eyes..looking into the eyes and drowning..maybe the moon..drawing us together as it draws the tides..ever closer till that kiss..

What a beautiful write, I really do not know if it is fate or destiny that brings us to our soul mate. I just know that my relationship/ marriage is based upon our friendship. May peace and joy fill your heart.

I do believe in fate.....things happen for a reason. I was lucky...after much failure, I did finally find my soul-mate. It took me 35 years though...LOL This was a really nice write, Sue. Great rhyming scheme, as always.
Peace and hugs, Laura
