following the channels sadistic in its views
the living image of war and abuse that we seem to choose
sense of dread the view that spreads this massacre of the young
to the goverment lobbying deceit for the spread of guns
drug abuse and childs porn an image on the screen
sex idols barely alive they haven't passed their teens
hate crime and tolerance such a double blade
standing for what is right depends on how it's paid
roads have come the gold has spun the feeling something's wrong
enter in your mind each day you hope the song is wrong
winter fades and bodies decay the start of something new
kneeling in the same old way praying at a pew
but as we know walls will show with the talk of owning faith
people want only to hear they have no life to taste
walking around in unhappy times prescriptions full of fun
til depression takes its toll they run straight for the gun
reality sucks it's a bitter pill but swallowing's only the start
until you breathe a sober breath nothing you do will give heart
visions are hard and the war will not end until we speak what's right
but till then i ask you my friend turn the tv off for the night

| i thought this was a really good, descriptive poem, i enjoy it a lot, you kind of take it to the heart of the media , and say what it's really doing |
