I saw Him upon the cross,
Now His head bowed down,
I cant believe that crowd that hollered,
I wonder what He thought when He looked around...
Up on that Calvary mountain,
Standing tall He died on that tree,
When I looked up at Him,
I saw the love He had for me...
The blood that ran down His body,
The nails that were in His hands,
The crown He wore upon His head,
I know, I should had been hung instead...
He took my punishment,
He took my pain,
He took my sickness,
He forgave my sin...
As I look upon the cross,
Where my savoir died,
Up on that Calvary mountain,
As others are standing by...
As I heard the mob scream out,
Hang the man today,
I cant but help but cry the tears,
But He made a way...
Jesus sweet Jesus,
The sweetest name I know,
For the times I feel forgiven,
I just want you to know,
That I thank you for everything,
Everything you done for me,
Jesus, I want to make you proud,
Thanks, for dieing for me...
