I Sit Here Dying

Contributed by alison on Saturday, 21st October 2006 @ 08:36:12 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I sit here waiting,
Drowning in the loneliness and fear,
Wishing he will be looking for me,
Hoping he is searching for me,
Longing for him to find me.
I sit here waiting,
The water rushing over me,
Watching the hills before me,
Counting the car lights drive by,
Feeling the cold wind on my back.
I sit here waiting still,
No one notices or knows,
No one is looking for me are they?
No one is coming are they?
I sit here crying,
Only to be held,
Only to be smiled upon,
Only to be loved.
I sit here freezing,
Because no one cares,
Because no one hears,
Because no one is out there,
I sit here dying.

I keep an eye out for your work... I hope that counts for something.
Another powerful piece. I hope, if your work reflects your life at the moment, that it all picks up.
