Topic: Grief

I can not let them see
My other side
So I built a wall
So i could hide

For almost a year and a half,
You see,
No one has seen
The real me

Out of fear of rejection
Mockery, pain
I built this wall to seem normal, tame

But the wall presented a problem
A large and gaping flaw
Although nobody could get inside
I couldn't let anything out at all

It built and it built,
This wall of emotion
Until in my head
I began to have notions
Notions of a terrible breed
Notions that I didnt want inside me

And with nothing to do
With these ethreal voices
I heeded their word
Made terrible choices
And soon my wall
Began to crumble

I got out the back,
But at a cost,
My life, you see,
was forever lost

And all because one grain of rice
Tips the ***** scale,
One straw breaks the camel's back
And beacause lack of a true confidant
Sent my life to hell

Good to know you're alive and not that depressed :) Your words really hit home, I was totally in that place almost a year ago. It's nice to hear it in anothers words, so I know where I don't want to be again.
