if smiling leads to laughter
and laughter shakes your blues
if wars were fought on humour
would humour make the news...
would religon take a back seat
would tolerence finally win
would hatred buckle...smile and chuckle
and finish with a grin...
if laughter makes you happy
and smiling's not a chore
then laugh aloud and show the crowd
we need to laugh some more...
was God, do you think smiling
when life to all he sent
did his grin... not sway...then laugh and say
"thats six days well spent"...
i wonder what he's thinking
when he see's this world of sin
if only they'd just laugh or smile
but i'll settle for a grin...
