True Friends

Contributed by EddieDean on Sunday, 29th October 2006 @ 10:45:26 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

True Friends,
They stand by one another,
They help each other up,
They back each other up.

That's what they do.
That's what friends are for.

Nick,
You've been a True Friend to me,
Of those,
I have few.
And I thank you my Friend.

You've stood by me,
Through all the pain I've been through,
Through the good times,
And the bad times.

You've always been there to make me laugh,
Been there to listen to me complain,
Been there to comfort me when I was down.

Nick,
I value your Friendship.
So very much.

You are a True Friend to me,
You've seen a part of me,
That no one else will see.
You are a poet,
So we connect on a new level.

Thank you,
My Friend.
For being You,
For being My Friend.
And most importantly,
Standing By Me.

You are a True Friend to Me.

Thank you for a great write. As the poem says:

"True Friends,
They stand by one another,
They help each other up,
They back each other up."

I will continue to be there for you whenever you need me. Definitely need to get together again. I will give you a call. Thanks again.

Nick
