Seize the day

With these words, I try to reach other victims of pain
Those who lay wounded, from the memories that remain
Awaken yourself, fight overbearing fears
Look in the mirror, dry off your tears
See that in your moment, of isolation, betrayal, and treason
You're still standing, you still have reason
To keep on living, seize the day
when you cut off your feelings, pain doesn't go away
Learn from your moments of hurt, grief, and rage
Keep your mind active, don't confine hate to a cage
Write, scream, talk, to a friend who is close
Fight the urge to clam up,
avoid a pain overdose
Listen to music, write out your thoughts
That have left you hollow, that leave you distraught
The words that you write, will be clues to a game
which rules are everchanging, cause the players aren't the same
Your heart and your mind, will be stuck in a duel
Eternal competition from the hurt feelings that rule
....if you let them.
And if all else fails, know that I understand
the pain you feel,
Let the words that you read be the hand......
that tries to guide you
