I'm here

Contributed by Destiny on Sunday, 16th February 2003 @ 05:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I'm here but no one cares
drowning fast
no air to fill my lungs
no love to fill my heart
I'm falling and no one seems to care
desperation is my only feeling
fear my only emotion
no one cares
in my room the walls are bare
no personality
lack of insperation
I'll give up if I don't see you
the things you promised me were never true
were fall throughs
just a way to get to me
I knew
I wanted it to be true so much I ignored
I heard the warnings
but I paid no mind
now the only thing is pain on my mind
the pain in my head
the pain in my soul
the pain you don't feel
while I'm here
on the ground
you ground me under your heel
broken and bruised
my dear I see you now
through the darkness
the headlights of life guiding me thorugh
yes I see you now
your wide eyes
you're frightened that I know
soft flow of snow falling down my cheeks
landing in pools of hate
I do not pity you
I pity those who you hurt
who you might've hurt
who you could've hurt
most of all I pity those who didn't know you
you lit up a room with your exsistance
but you used that light
abused it
try as you might but I saw
maybe to late for me but not for them
you'd already hurt me
the thin plasma of life broken through
my heart broken through
but I can see you now
I see you now....

No matter what happens des someone will always be there to care.
You may just not notice that they're even there.

This is one of those poems where I can empathise completely, a lot of people have been where you are at one time or another, we just can't express it as well as you have

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
